Deanne is a Clinical Psychologist who works part-time with our practice offering assessment and treatment services to young people and their families. She is energetic, warm and caring and develops meaningful relationships with her clients and their families. Deanne uses a range of treatments, including emotional-based social skills, cognitive behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness, and parenting skills.
Deanne obtained her Master of Clinical Psychology from Bond University in 2016, her Postgrauate Diploma of Psychology in 2013, and her Bachelor of Science (Psych) with a Bachelor of Health from Macquarie University in 2011. As an Intern Psychologist, Deanne provided evidence-based intervention to children and adolescents in primary and high school settings, and in a University Clinic. She also conducted psychometric assessments of children. Deanne has always had a passion for working with young people.
Deanne has been working at HMHK since 2016. Deanne has experience in assessing and treating children for a wide range of psychological and educational concerns, including, but not limited to: anxiety, depression, anger, self-esteem, abuse/trauma, challenging behaviours, Autism Spectrum Disorder, intellectual disability, giftedness and school refusal.
Deanne is a Registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and an associate member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Deanne is also a registered service provider under the Australian Government’s Better Outcomes for Mental Health Care program and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
